
The client provided the X15 lapel pin owned by J.F. Kennedy commemorating the launch of the X15. Accompanying the pin was a letter signed by Evelyn Lincoln (JFK’s secretary) authenticating the pin.
Design Elements include:
Visual Composite- The panel on the left details the story of the revolutionary aeronautics program that produced the X15 and is comprised of research-based prose and relevant imagery. All research, writing, and digital composition work was completed by Grant’s Frames’ professional staff.
Preservation quality linen matboards and Preservation quality suede matboards.
Engraved brass plate details the significance of the lapel pin and its route from JF Kennedy to the current owner.
Water gilded gold leaf fillets.
Custom built and gold-leafed closed corner frame featuring a three-step design reminiscent of the design aesthetic of the period.
Certificates of authenticity are included in a pouch on the reverse side of the finished display.
All materials and techniques adhere to PPFA guidelines for Preservation framing .
