This 24ct gold-leafed turntable style display was designed to showcase a pair of Elvis Presley glasses. It features original artwork, a mirror rotating pedestal, and a motor that rotates the glasses.
The Gold Leaf has been embossed with exquisite detail. At the uppermost center, you will see the Sun Records logo.
The front lower panel features the iconic Graceland estate. All the panels were commissioned expressly for this project and were acrylic on panels.
This close up view of the Graceland panel clearly shows Elvis' tagline, "TCB" (Taking Care of Business).
The panels were designed to illustrate the varied public personas of Elvis Presley. This panel depicts his role as a Hollywood star. His roles in movies Paradise, Jailhouse Rock, and Viva Las Vegas decorate this side panel.
Despite his star status, Elvis enlisted in the army during the Vietnam war. He earned several medals for his service, and they are depicted on this side panel.
The backside of the display is fully leafed in 24ct gold and embossed with Elvis performing.
